Our clients Bill and Hazel bought this tired Victorian property and wanted to fully renovate it to create a beautiful home. We designed a two storey rear extension and single storey side extension to provide a master bedroom suite, open plan kitchen, living and dining area with a utility and boot room to the side.

The property was elevated from the rear garden and so our first decision was to create a raised patio directly off the living area with steps down to the garden.  To maximise the views onto the side garden we introduced a corner window at both ground and first floor. The first floor window creates a bay window with a traditional paneled plinth – a reference to the age of the original house.

We worked closely with the kitchen supplier to create a traditional kitchen design whilst integrating an island unit to define the zones in the open plan living area.

The vaulted ceiling with lighting shelf and the corner window in the master bedroom gave a sense of space and glamour, whilst feeling warm and intimate.
